How it all began

Welcome! I’m Shawna — a creative entrepreneur with a passion for design, storytelling, and the outdoors.

My journey as an entrepreneur began behind the camera in 2011, photographing families and weddings before expanding into branding, commercial work, and web design. Along the way, I also pursued my love for wellness, working as a personal trainer to help others feel confident and strong. Still, my heart was always drawn to creativity, balance, and the outdoors—a pull that led me to settle near Lake Huron, where my story truly began to take shape.

After purchasing a corporate-style nutrition coaching business, I realized something was missing. I wanted to create in a different way—something that blended passion, purpose, and design. That’s when Grit Outdoors was born, and through it, the idea for Digital Flair & Design came to life.

What began in the back room of my last business—learning the printing process and experimenting with apparel—quickly turned into a full creative venture. I fell in love with design, sold that business, and shifted my focus entirely to building Digital Flair.

Today, we specialize in custom apparel and web design for teams, organizations, and businesses—helping others bring their visions to life through creativity and collaboration. When I’m not designing or printing, you’ll find me outdoors with my spouse RJ and our pup, caring for our small homestead and drawing inspiration from the rugged beauty of nature.

With big plans for 2026, I’m excited for what’s ahead and grateful to continue creating, connecting, and bringing people’s visions to life.
