How it all began
Welcome! I’m Shawna — a creative entrepreneur fueled by design, storytelling, and the outdoors.
My journey began behind the camera in 2011, photographing families and weddings before moving into branding, commercial work, and web design. Along the way, I built a career in wellness and coaching, but creativity and the outdoors always pulled me back.
After years of running a corporate-style nutrition business, I realized I wanted to build something more meaningful—something rooted in craft, connection, and creativity. That shift led to the creation of Grit Outdoors, and eventually sparked the full-time venture now known as Digital Flair & Design.
What started as experimenting with apparel printing and design in the back room of my old business grew into a complete Design & Print studio—one focused on bringing ideas to life for teams, organizations, and businesses across Ontario. I sold the previous business, embraced the change, and committed fully to this creative path.
Today, Digital Flair & Design specializes in custom apparel, embroidery, full-colour printed apparel, engraved leather patches, and clean, professional website design. My goal is simple: to help brands show up with clarity, consistency, and confidence—both on apparel and online.
When I’m not designing or printing, you’ll usually find me outdoors with my partner RJ and our pup, enjoying the homestead and finding inspiration in nature.
With exciting plans ahead, I’m grateful for every project, every collaboration, and the chance to keep creating work that truly makes an impact.
A little story behind the name and logo
Digital Flair & Design has grown so much over the years, but every part of the name and logo still reflects where it all started and who I am at the core.
The “Digital” comes from my love for creativity through photography, design, websites, branding, and bringing ideas to life digitally long before apparel became part of the business.
“Flair” represents the creativity, personality, and detail that goes into everything we create — because I’ve always believed the little details matter.
And “Design” ties it all together through custom apparel, embroidery, print, and creating pieces that help businesses, teams, and brands feel like themselves
The logo itself holds even more meaning.
The peacock feather represents my best friend and symbolizes strength, growth, and creativity.
The sage leaf reflects my love for the outdoors, nature, and all things grounded and earthy.
And the thread spool ties back to embroidery and custom apparel — stitching every piece of the business together one idea at a time.
What started as a creative outlet slowly became something so much bigger, and honestly… this refreshed logo finally feels like home ✨
